Everyday cleaning products that are clean, green & seriously useful
EcoForce has taken a serious question, found a sensible solution and given an imaginative spin to a whole range of household products for us to buy
Their everyday cleaning products are all made from recycled materials - not only useful, but also greener, more sustainable, more environmentally friendly than most comparable products on the market made from virgin materials.
In the range: recycled clothes baskets, pegs, clothes lines, recycled food bag grips, recycled sponges, cloths and dusters. And you can buy their products with your weekly shop from Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons or online at their store www.ecoforce.co.uk
In this country we produce 20 times more plastic today than 50 years ago and use approximately five million tonnes every year, a quarter of which is recycled. Many of our cleaning products are imported
Plastic often has a very short life span and is simply discarded after use (think plastic bags!) but almost all plastic is recyclable typically for a maximum of six times. Recycling plastic is good for the environment because it:
- Conserves our precious non-renewable fossil fuels (eg. oil)
- Reduces energy consumption
- Reduces the amount of waste going to landfill (plastic takes over 400 years to break down)
- Reduces carbon dioxide emissions
As a nation we have embraced recycling in a highly positive manner and demand is growing for recycled products. Plastic recycling is now one of the fastest growing segments in the green industry and UK manufacturer EcoForce are on a mission to give us, the consumer, a real choice.
