A Real Corker!

A Real Corker!

New British Crisp

The Taylor family has farmed the rich, peaty Cambridgeshire Fenlands for four generations.

Helping the great British spud

During that time many British icons have come and gone but the good old British spud is definitely here to stay. What better way to celebrate it than with Corkers crisps – natural British crunch!

A family idea to make the perfect crisp

Brand new Corkers crisps are the brainchild of Ross Taylor and Rod Garnham, who have been friends since they were teenagers. Growing up in a quintessential rural community, they share a passion for locally farmed produce, which is why everything that goes into a Corkers crisp is as British as the red telephone box!

The secret to Corkers’ unique great taste is the attention to detail Ross and Rod have put into creating their passion - the perfect crisp. The premium quality Naturalo potato tastes great but isn’t a familiar sight on our supermarket shelves because it’s just not pretty enough!

However, its flavour is exceptional and once peeled, sliced and fried it makes the perfect crisp. Grown using sustainable methods in the top quality soil of the Taylor family farm, the potatoes are then stored at a temperature that ensures the starch doesn’t turn to sugar. This means that Corkers crisps maintain an authentic potato taste rather than undertones of burnt sugar, which can often be detected in other brands of crisps.

Nothing but good British produce

Hand cooked in sunflower oil Corkers crisps contain no artificial or MSG products and the flavours are made using only natural British produce.

It’s not just growing the potato that takes place on the farm – flavouring and distribution is also on site so that Ross and Rod can guarantee quality. A crisp with better provenance would be difficult to find.

The result of this attention to detail is a light, delicious crisp that is full of flavour, which Ross is sure will see British crisp lovers become converts to Corkers: “Rod and I lived, breathed and literally ate Corkers for months before we perfected them. Now that we’re there we are sure the great British public will love them as much as we do.”

Freshness in a bag

The packaging is produced from quality foil to ensure maximum freshness. The design demonstrates the founders’ love of British heritage. Rod comments: “We wanted our packaging to reflect the values of Corkers – premium quality, British and fun.”
