Former project manager cleans up with new venture

Former project manager cleans up with new venture

Putting his wealth of experience to good use

Wojciech Kierstan is set to clean up in Grantham after establishing his own professional valeting firm, Ovenu.

Wojciech, 64, will now manage and direct the operations of the company that will serve businesses and households throughout Grantham and the surrounding area.

Wojciech, worked in the IT industry for 40 years, the last seven as a project management consultant. Over the last few years he found work was beginning to dry up. Wojciech then searched for a new career but found the job market saturated.

A franchise opportunity that appealed

A friend suggested oven cleaning and Wojciech came across Ovenu on the British Franchise Association website. From there he decided to run his own oven valeting franchise.

The valeting service involves dismantling key components of an oven and placing them into design-registered equipment, which uses non-caustic products to clean the oven parts. The whole process takes around three hours and leaves the oven, hob and exterior in immaculate condition.

Wojciech said; “I was trying to get back into work but found the job market totally saturated. After coming across Ovenu on the BFA website I found it had an established franchise model and over 100 franchisees, from this I knew there would be a good support team in place.

“The key to setting up my own franchise was the flexibility it offers. I also enjoy meeting people and customer liaison is one of my strengths, I’m really looking forward to getting out there to clean Grantham’s dirty ovens."

It's never to late to start your own business

Rik Hellewell, Founder of Ovenu said: “It’s never too late to start your own business and Wojciech is proof that it is possible. He has a wealth of work and life experience, which he can bring to running his own franchise.

“We are always on the look out for new franchise owners and an Ovenu franchise is available to all regardless of age, it’s never too late to become your own boss.

“Franchising is about starting a new business with the support, back up and advice of a larger network behind you. Our franchise network continues to thrive with the right business acumen and commitment, Ovenu can provide a very successful business opportunity for budding franchisees with high growth potential.”

The current investment into an Ovenu franchise is currently just under *£13,000 plus VAT. This includes a choice of vehicle which meets basic criteria.
