The hotel was built in 1828 and is reputed to be the oldest boarding house in Lynton dating back to 1828, and is a grade II listed, quaint Georgian building featuring its own restaurant.
This peaceful, child free hotel, has five guest rooms, including a four poster double bed room and a double bed suite with its own living room, dressing room and very spacious ensuite. All rooms have private bath or shower facilities.
Each room is equipped with a television, hospitality tray, hairdryer and a mini fridge containing complimentary spring water plus fresh milk for your tea and coffee.
Paul and Penny can offer you dinner in the hotel's own restaurant offering a wide range of traditional English and French fayre from Oxtail and Boef Bourguignon to Wild Sea Bass & smoked Salmon, plus a vegetarian selection. Pre-dinner drinks are served in the lounge from 6.30 pm.
Their Chef specialises in Beef and Salmon with beef from specialised local herds such as Devon Ruby Red, and superb Salmon, particularly from Loch Duart. They also specialise in local artisan Devon, UK and continental cheeses, and a selection of carefully selected coffee beans (freshly ground just before serving) and wine.
Stay for a two night short break for two from £175, and receive a complimentary dinner worth at least £25 per person.
If you are looking for a small venue for a family get together or to celebrate an event with friends, colleagues or your club, we offer a special tariff for groups of at least two couples. Contact Penny or Paul for more details.
They always aim is to exceed your expectations, and look forward to your arrival.
