By special arrangement The Nare is able to arrange personal guided tours to some of Cornwall's privately owned botanical gardens, including Tregothnan, Trewithen and Caerhays, as well as public gardens such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan, Trebah and The Eden Project.

Caerhays, Cornwall - National Collection of Magnolias

The flowering of the first magnolia at Caerhays, famed for its National Collection of Magnolias, signifies the start of spring in Cornwall, and the Nare can arrange bespoke tours to see this beautiful sight. “The flowering of our champion Magnolia Campbellii tree happens around 10th – 20th March each year, and is an occasion and stunning sight that mustn’t be missed. It is the largest specimen of its kind in the country, and once in flower we know we will then see shoots and buds springing open throughout the rest of the county – and we celebrate the arrival of Spring” says Charles Williams, owner of Caerhays Castle Gardens and Burncoose Nurseries, and Chairman of Great Gardens of Cornwall.

The Nare has long been famed for its own beautiful, coastal gardens. Magnificent palms and agapanthus flourish, fresh flowers are replaced daily and the climate even allows daffodils to be on The Nare dining tables for Christmas.
