The Royal School of Needlework has an enticing range of day and weekend classes, as well as longer courses teaching traditional hand embroidery. You will be welcomed whatever your level of experience - beginner, expert or somewhere in between.
Men and women can learn techniques such as Jacobean/crewelwork, goldwork, silk shading, canvas stitches and stumpwork. The RSN specializes in some 20 techniques and their one day Introduction classes give students a ‘taster’ session in each technique.

You can buy gift vouchers for classes at the RSN which make fabulous presents for birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas. Prices start at £57 for a one day class based in their apartments at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey.
