Paradox oil's omegas are handled with care

After 20 years working with patients who were always asking what they could take to improve their health, Dr Geoff Hayhurst decided to investigate the apparent paradox that two of the healthiest populations on earth from the Arctic and the Mediterranean have diets extremely high in fat.

He soon became convinced that it was the particular good fats in these diets that held the key so he developed an oil that is packed with healthy omegas and also a blend of nutrients to support and aid assimilation. The result was Paradox - a unique nutritional supplement.

Although Paradox was initially developed to improve their bone and joint health, it became apparent in the first pilot study of his patients that they were showing impressive improvements, not only in their joints but also in the health of other major body systems.

The oil is now produced in Ireland. The supplement is designed to benefit both the structure of the body's cells and the complex chemicals the body produces for normal functions - the musculo-skeletal system, cardio-vascular system and brain and eyes. Why is this particular oil so effective?

Omega fatty acids are very fragile and when they break down they are much less effective. So Dr Hayhurst developed a method to protect the omegas and keep them strong.

Paradox uses only natural fish oils of the highest quality sourced from the oceans of the Arctic and South Pacific. The omegas are purified in a unique filtration process at low temperature and then blended with cold pressed olives, pure organic lemon oils, and polyphenol antioxidants in their whole and natural form. This process means that the oil remains stable and fresher than many other omega fish oils on the market.

Equal amounts of EPA and DHA ensure a balanced omega supplement with the additional benefits of powerful polyphenol antioxidants which boost the immune system as well as protecting the omegas.

The company have been working with the University of Ulster who are researching the efficacy of their antioxidants.
