Pamela - Isle of WightWhat book most changed your life or had a profound affect on you? I don't think one particular book changed my life - but the whole concept of learning to read certainly did. The whole of my summer holidays as a child were spent reading. A book from the library was finished by lunchtime and I was off for another one in the afternoon. I still get an enormous enjoyment from reading and am passing it on to my 4 year old grandaughter and I hope it stays with her.

Carolyn - County TyroneWhat book most changed your life or had a profound affect on you? I recently read a book called 'The Age of Miracles by Marianne Williamson and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who like me was going through a bit of a midlife crisis. It helped me to think more positively about my life and relationships during a time when all I seemed able to do was to look at the failures of the past. Great book.

Deirdre - GlasgowWhat book most changed your life or had a profound affect on you? I was going to Crete on holiday and read "The Golden Step" by Christopher Somerville. That wonderful book encouraged me to go onto read "The Cretan Runner" by George Psychoundakis. Now I am addicted to Crete and read all I can about the history of the island both ancient and more recent. " The Golden Step" made me want to try some of the walks through the fantastic Cretan scenery, but that is just be a pipe dream, so far.
