This week the media seems to be giving the older generation a voice at last.
A school librarian who set herself 60 tasks to do to celebrate her 60th birthday has achieved 43 of the challenges. They ranged from holding a tarantula to appearing on Eggheads; Eating squirrel casserole and having a fish pedicure. We should all have goals and her list of "sensible" task could inspire us all to follow her example.
An elderly angler who claimed he had been abducted by aliens but rejected for being "too old and infirm" gives us all hope that we will be left to live our lives in peace on Planet Earth.
