Move It or Lose It! An exercise revolution is working miracles and giving older people their lives

Move it or Lose it! is a series of exercise DVDs which can be followed at home. Within a matter of weeks people who before could do very little, are back on their feet, engaged with life.

Take, Jim, 90 years old, who had not been able to get out of his chair or walk for seven years. Louise Summers, his carer at Rosewood Court residential home, in Leeds states:

It's like watching a miracle happen before my eyes.

Jim and his fellow residents come together once a week to do a class using the Move it or Lose it! DVD's. All are aged between 73 and 90 years old. Proof that you are never too old to try keeping fit.

All of the residents were reluctant at first to give it a go but now they can't wait to put on the DVD all of them have seen a massive difference and even family members have commented on how good the exercises have been both physically and emotionally for themit's amazing. Every care home in the UK should give it go (Louise).

Move it or Lose it! is presented by fitness expert, Julie Robinson, who has spent most of her life teaching exercise to older and less mobile people. Julie's routines are all fully endorsed by the Centre for Healthy Ageing Research headed by world leading gerontology expert, Professor Janet Lord.

According to The British Heart Foundation, the greatest fear for people in their 50s is loss of independence through failing physical and mental health as they age; and yet one in twenty of people over 65 cannot remember when they last exercised.

Change a life today - don't pop a pill pop on a DVD.
